COvid-19 reopening policies

If you have any symptoms of Covid-19, you must not enter our facility.  If you have a temperature of 100.3° or higher, please do not enter our facility.  Stay home if you are not 100% healthy.

Face masks are required to enter and climb in Kendall Cliffs. If you have a medical condition that prohibits you from wearing a mask, we are unfortunately unable to allow you to climb at this time.

When You Arrive

  • Any persons exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 will be asked to leave.
  • New waivers dated May 28, 2020 or later are required for everyone. It is strongly recommended you fill out a new waiver out at home rather than at the kiosks.
  • We are asking climbers to schedule appointments with us online before they visit. This secures your spot so we do not have to turn people away due to our reduced occupancy. Appointments are limited to two-hour sessions. Walk-in’s are welcome only if open slots are available.
  • You must check in before climbing. This is especially important now as part of Ohio’s contact tracing procedure.
  • You must wash your hands or use sanitizer before climbing and after touching your face.
  • Groups are limited to pre-sold Groupon vouchers until further notice.  If you have a Groupon Voucher, please Call us at 330-655-5489 or send us a message to schedule.

While You Are Climbing

  • You MUST wear a mask while climbing.
  • No dry chalk is permitted at this time. Use liquid chalk with alcohol. Viruses may be carried by suspended chalk dust in the air. We will have liquid chalk available for sale at a special price in the gym and at Appalachian Outfitters.
  • You may not change your climbing partner during the duration of your visit.
  • Wash hands upon entry, between climbs, and before exiting.
  • Please limit your climbing sessions to just two hours. This allows more people in to climb and limits your chance of exposure.
    • We are blocking routes with orange safety cones to help assure proper distancing. We will alternate routes every other day. Please do not climb these closed routes in order to help us with sanitation and cleaning.
    • Water is available for purchase, but the public water dispenser will be temporarily shut down.
    • We highly encourage each person to bring their own equipment. Please avoid sharing, including ropes and liquid chalk.

Please notify us if you develop symptoms of, or, suspect you may have been exposed to the coronavirus and have visited our facility so we may initiate contact tracing.
